gLite User Interface



Description
The gLite user Interface is a suite of clients and APIs that users and applications can use to access the gLite services from both the LCG and gLite software stack.

Check also the general gLite documentation page for more details on each of the clients installed in the UI.

Please pay attention to the known issues.


Supported platform
The gLite 3.2 software stack is supported on Scientific Linux 5 (SL5).


Installation
The gLite User Interface is available in RPM and in tarball format. The recommended installation is via the gLite YUM repository.


RPM Installation via YUM
The yum-module name is glite-UI.

IMPORTANT The 'yum groupinstall' method should be used to install:

yum groupinstall glite-UI

Installation via tarball
For the tarballs, please see individual version below. The user dependencies for the tarball contain the set of external dependencies needed to run the User Interface. The instructions to install the tarball can be found here.
